HATE THE SNP

NOT SURPRISING CONSIDERING THE PRESS THEY GET (see state propaganda section)

Will give some reasons later in this section why I think you should not hate the SNP.

For now lets accept you will never change your mind.

SNP are a centralist party, leaning to the left on social issues and a bit to the right when dealing with business.

You think they are not left wing enough ?

You think they are not right wing enough ?

You just hate the thought of Independence ?

a) Because you think Scotland would never prosper on it's own. Propaganda has got to you. Hopefully looking at this site & other sources of information you will realise they & our own have been lying to us for years. Scotland would have a more prosperous economy as an independent country than as part of the U.K (see section on economy).

b) You really want to be British, better off. Worse off doesn't come into your thinking. Fair enough. An honourable position. Providing you campaign honourably from that position & don't take part in the tsunami of lies designed to convince our population that we are a basket case unable to run our own affairs.

If you just want to be British what can I say. Governed for ever more by the worst of the British upper classes ????

For the rest of us there is hope.

2024 Update

Have to admit SNP are not looking good even allowing for all the propaganda against them, they have scored so many own goals recently.

New leader John Swinney not the most charismatic, so lets hope he can do the boring stuff well & get his administration to concentrate on the nitty gritty of governing well.

Too much student politics. Need to get back to the real world.

Results of recent census reveal .04% of people are thinking about, have been or are identifing as transgender.

These people should not be discriminated against.But a huge amount of Parliamentary time should not be used on something that is not relevant to 99% of the population.

I seen a tweet from an SNP MP saying that Trans rights were the most important thing in politics. I replied saying if Independence was not the most important thing to her she should resign from the SNP.

To me the most important thing is to stop the theft of our resources.

All our revenues go to Westminster.They send us back pocket money.

Currently they are retaining a higher percentage than they did in 2001

Bearing in mind the Scottish Parliament open in 1999 & now does most of the work U.K goverment did. Why are they keeping even more of our money.

Ferries. Find it hard to believe they can't build a boat on the Clyde.One of the many delays down to a corridor not being wide enough.Sounds like sabotage in the drawing office ???

Sturgeon & Murrel. Public think they stole the money. Its not about stealing.

Its about misappropraition ie using money that was donated & ring fenced to be used for a future referendum. They used it not for a referendum but for normal Party activities.Those who donated rightly complained & the investigation began Despicable behaviour & both of them should resign. No evidence of theft as yet.

Police investigation being dragged on for years to cause as much electoral damage as possible to the SNP.

No doubt SNP should have done better in many areas but you have to remember its the British media's job to show the SNP in the worst possible light.

The contrast with the media in England is enormous. Government of the day is generally reported in a positive light (b4 partygate) & is given much more airtime than the opposition. Unlike in Scotland where you get a succession of political opponents & commentators rubbishing the Government.

As far as I can see the SNP are still on the wrong road. Say they are going to stop talking of a referendum & prove they can run the country well. Impossible they wont be allowed to run the country well. Its just not possible

Budget, when inflation is taken into account skrinks every year.

Should not be talking about a referendum but should be highlighting what a wealthy country Scotland can be with our huge resources. Health education etc will never improve without money.

The UK is getting poorer as the 1% are stealing everything.

The only hope of improving our living standards is independence.

Scotland on its own is a much wealthier country than the UK.

Holyrood was designed to stop the SNP getting a majority. It's a good system designed so it is very difficult for any one party to rule unopposed. In normal times consensus politics would be required, meaning that to some degree, most of the views in our country would be heard. Left, right and centre. At the moment totally polarised between Nationalists & Unionists which doesnt lead to good goverment.

INDEPENDENCE

Solves the problem.
Maybe in the first election in a newly independent Scotland, the SNP might get another overall majority.

Unlikely this would happen in future elections. SNP would not stay together long enough in it's current form. People from the left would leave, possibly to Labour. People from the right would leave, possibly to the Tories. This would make both these parties stronger.

Hopefully our totally corrupted mainstream media would morph into something resembling an objective, independent media that would scrutinise our Government & society.

THE UNION SURVIVES

If this happens, it's unlikely the SNP will have another overall majority. Been in power for over 10 yrs. A tsunami of media misinformation against them. However they would be big favourites to have the most seats in Parliament, but unlikely to be in Government ?

LOOK AT THE COUNCIL ELECTIONS

SNP won several councils and were the largest single party in many more. Convention decree's that the largest party seeks to form a coalition to gain a working majority.

Sworn enemies Labour and Tories instead went into bed together to keep the SNP out.

If this happens we will lose the Government which despite many problems have Governed better than Labour or Tories ever did.

Look at the quality of individuals in the opposition parties. Not many as good as average.

SNP Gov would be replaced with an incompetent coalition, which would run the country into the ground. Any time Westminster said jump they would ask how high.

They would be fully backed by an obedient media who would tell us everything was great while our country gets asset stripped.

BETTER TOGETHER???
